Join us as a Marketplace Compliance Specialist and you’ll be a big part of this.
Key responsibilities
You will contribute to ensuring products listed on the B&Q Marketplace by verified sellers are compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure that B&Q continues to meet its legal obligations as an online marketplace.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
Product Onboarding Due Diligence: Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements for selected product categories during onboarding.
Relationship Building: Establish strong working relationships with the wider marketplace team across the Group.
Post-Live Monitoring: Monitor live marketplace listings, removing products as needed. Clearly explain decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
Process Improvement: Actively contribute to enhancing documented processes and procedures.
Investigations and Compliance: Investigate issues arising from customer complaints, reviews, and interactions with verified sellers.
Assess technical information and take appropriate action. Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory obligations in various territories.Corrective Actions and Support: Assist with corrective actions and follow up to ensure implementation.
Legal Compliance Support: Collaborate with the Legal Compliance Manager on ad-hoc matters.
Required skills & experience
• Proven experience in a product compliance role with a broad understanding of consumer focused legislation, for example, product safety and claims
• Ability to manage a wide and varied caseload
• Comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work successfully with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Good IT skills, particularly the MS Office suite
• Competent in dealing with incidents in a timely manner taking a measured and proportionate approach, based on agreed policies and procedures
• Confident in using experience and knowledge to influence others
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
