Living In Hampshire
We’re nestled in the county of Hampshire, just north of Southampton and its surrounding beauty. It’s close to the idyllic New Forest National Park, and has beaches and coastline on its doorstep too. It’s also only a stone’s throw from the historical cities of Portsmouth, Winchester, Salisbury and Chichester, and is home to excellent local schools and universities too.
The county is very well connected. It’s on the M3 and M27, and has its own airport and mainline train network. What’s more, London is only an hour away by train or car, and the Isle of Wight is a mere ferry crossing away.
If you enjoy the lively side of life, you’re well served here. Southampton, Portsmouth and Bournemouth all offer a great choice of shops, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities. Southampton, for example, has the Ocean Village Marina and West Quay, Watermark – home to a bowling alley, a public plaza, Showcase Cinema de lux and all kinds of shopping and dining options. Portsmouth is home to Spinnaker Tower – Britain’s best viewing tower – and Gunwharf Quays – a designer shopping outlet with leisure and dining facilities. Hampshire also has a county cricket team and a Premier League football team, for anyone interested in top-flight sports.
