Role Purpose: This role sets and delivers our digital analytics strategy for B&Q (UK and ROI) and Tradepoint, enabling digital growth through reporting solutions and actionable insights. A strong leader with a passion for nurturing and empowering talent and proven analytical expertise, the Ecommerce Analytics Manager will proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement, leveraging an extensive toolset to build out actionable insights and reporting, helping to increase the understanding and use of digital analytics both within the team and across multiple functions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the Analytics strategy and roadmap, enabling the team to set clear priorities.
- Lead the Digital Analytics team in building a world-class service, delivering actionable insights to drive business growth.
- Cultivate a high-performing team through mentorship, coaching, and training, promoting a culture of learning, empowerment, and collaboration.
- Support sub-team leads to manage the digital insights and report development backlog, using agile management practices to prioritise effectively across the varying analytical needs.
- Establish standardised and best-practice methodologies across the Digital Analytics team, ensuring operational excellence.
- Forge strategic partnerships with stakeholders across Ecommerce, Marketplace, and Customer functions, influencing the digital agenda through data-driven insights.
- Help to influence and shape the Performance Marketing and broader Digital strategy through insights and detailed market analysis
- Maintain deep subject matter expertise in digital analytics, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and platforms enabling continuous improvement in how the team resolves complex problems - looking beyond existing methodologies
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making for all digital activities, including marketing, trading, and web development.
- Champion a customer-centric approach, leveraging data to understand customer behaviour and enhance the omnichannel experience.
- Develop a comprehensive reporting suite that provides a holistic view of customer journeys across digital touchpoints.
- Employ Google Analytics, Content Square, and other analytical tools to uncover customer insights and drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a commercially-driven mindset within the team, ensuring solutions deliver maximum value and are iterated swiftly, whilst responding to changing business priorities, developing plans to deliver based on the business environment
- Work in partnership with the Group Functions (Data Platform Team and Measurement) to ensure solutions meet the needs of B&Q and further our digital analytics capabilities
- Build strong relationships with leadership teams across the B&Q and Kingfisher
Required skills & experience
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams
- Confident with SQL, GA4 / Adobe Analytics or similar and awareness of BigQuery, Databricks, Power BI, ContentSquare, SimilarWeb
- Strategic relationship builder with the ability to foster collaboration and drive alignment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, adept at conveying complex information to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders, ensuring engagement and alignment
- Extensive experience leading analytical insight teams in an e-commerce, retail, or digital context
- Deep understanding of the analytical tools and technologies landscape

Sustainability
B&Q House has a biomass boiler, solar panels and a rainwater harvesting system. Our building also makes use of upcycled and recycled furniture and fittings, and features natural ventilation, heat retention and CO2 management, all via our very own weather station on the roof.
