A rare opportunity to take full autonomy, with the freedom to shape, develop, and make the role your own. Define, develop and embed B&Q’s employer brand across all internal and external channels to position B&Q as an employer of choice. The Employer Brand Manager is responsible for authentically representing the culture of B&Q, ensuring our employer brand and candidate experience reflect our purpose and behaviours, and supporting the attraction and retention of diverse talent aligned to our business strategy.

Key responsibilities

Employer Brand & EVP

  • Own the end-to-end employer brand strategy, from insight and concept through to execution and optimisation.
  • Translate B&Q’s purpose, behaviours and culture into a clear, compelling and differentiated employer brand.
  • Define, develop and evolve B&Q’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP) in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Embed the employer brand internally and externally through consistent, engaging and authentic storytelling

Attraction & Campaign Delivery

  • Create and deliver employer brand and attraction campaigns across digital, social and offline channels
  • Develop and implement an employer brand social media strategy to grow reach and engagement
  • Own the employer brand content calendar, sourcing and creating compelling content (video, imagery, blogs, colleague stories)

Candidate Experience & Advocacy

  • Act as an advocate for candidate experience, ensuring it reflects our employer brand promise
  • Educate and influence stakeholders on the impact of candidate experience on brand perception
  • Build colleague advocacy and alumni engagement to strengthen employer brand credibility

Insight, Data & Performance

  • Review and monitor employer brand and attraction data to determine channel effectiveness
  • Use insight, feedback and market intelligence to continuously improve attraction strategies
  • Track and report on employer brand performance and campaign outcomes

Required skills & experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in Employer Brand, Recruitment Marketing, Attraction or Talent Acquisition
  • Strong storytelling and content creation skills across digital and social platforms
  • Experience influencing and partnering with multiple stakeholders
  • Data-led mindset with experience using insight to inform decisions
  • Strong understanding of candidate experience and inclusive attraction principles
  • Knowledge of employer brand platforms such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor and careers sites

Desirable

  • Experience within a large, consumer-facing or multi-site organisation
  • Early careers or volume recruitment attraction experience
  • Agency management or campaign delivery experience
