At B&Q we have a hybrid approach to working to increase flexibility in when and where we work. We would require 2 days per week in the office or more if you choose
To manage legal risk by supporting B&Q with commercial contract advice, negotiation and drafting; management of IP; provision of data protection, commercial and commercial litigation legal advice; and management of external counsel.
Required skills & experience
To be succesful in this role you will be a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister registered to practice in the UK.
- Proven PQE experience obtained in private practice/in-house;
- Broad legal knowledge with sound experience in commercial contracts, IP and GDPR, ideally in a retail or similar environment;
- Strong technical skills and ability to give clear and pragmatic advice;
- Confident in knowledge of and advising in relation to GDPR
- Strong user of Outlook, Word and case management systems and willingness to work with Excel as and when required;
- Capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment;
Customer focused; understands the needs of internal and external customers, responds promptly and ensures the customer is at the forefront of their thinking
