Key responsibilities
The role purpose is to optimise the Digital Supply Chain with a focus on customer experience ensuring availability is above minimum targets whilst stock is managed within the agreed budget for a defined market(s)
- Responsible for optimising Home Delivery availability from B&Q Hub Stores, Rockingham fulfilment centre and Direct Supply Vendor (DSV) sites.
- Ensure Click & Collect targets are achieved.
- Ensure purchasing and product life cycle is managed within agreed financial and stock health targets.
- Set, review and refine as appropriate the online sales and stock forecasts ensuring availability is maintained to agreed targets.
- Optimise replenishment using available tools to ensure stock is ordered accurately and in a timely fashion to appropriate fulfilment locations, achieving the digital sales forecasts. Manage the order book, making amendments and applying updates as required, liaising with vendors & DCs.
- Deliver range exit and new product launches to the agreed plan and time scales. Liaise with cross functional teams.
- Responsible for products being set up accurately and on time to allow order placement. Working with Digital & Market teams, Kingfisher and Logistics using business processes.
- Ensure product data is accurate throughout digital systems (SAP, Riversands & ATG), allowing smooth customer order flow.
- Execute the agreed Online Trading Plan, delivering to launch target and ensure a clean sell through.
- Influence and support the development of the Digital Supply Chain to ensure technical processes and procedures optimise customer experience.
- Convert the Digital First supply strategy into an operational plan that delivers across all KPIs to ensure the best customer experience.
Required skills & experience
- Able to analyse complex data effectively and efficiently, identifying root cause and best solution.
- Good experience of forecasting and replenishment systems, SAP an advantage.
- Good understanding of Digital Supply Chains and how to best optimise these.
- Capability to create and successfully implement plans to improve key performance measures.
- Collaborative, engaging and effective communicator.
- Can challenge effectively as well as create great rapport with others.
- Good level of commercial acumen and ability to make decisions on both data and instinct.
- High level of ownership and proactive approach to deliver results.
